4. Acceptable Use Policy and Prohibited Conduct

You agree to use KuaLat solely for lawful purposes and in compliance with these Terms. You are strictly prohibited from using the Service to:

a. Malicious Software and Security Exploitation

  • Distribute malware, ransomware, trojans, viruses, worms, keyloggers, or spyware.
  • Create phishing pages, credential-harvesting forms, or links designed to deceive visitors into revealing sensitive financial or personal data.
  • Attempt unauthorized access to our servers, infrastructure, user databases, or connected networks.
  • Interfere with, disrupt, or attack the Service through denial-of-service (DDoS) methods or automated request floods.

b. Unlawful and Harmful Content

  • Shorten links pointing to child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or content promoting violence, self-harm, or terrorism.
  • Distribute content that infringes on third-party intellectual property rights, trademarks, trade secrets, or copyrights.
  • Host or link to illegal narcotics, unauthorized firearm transactions, or fraudulent financial schemes.
  • Engage in defamation, harassment, hate speech, stalking, or doxxing of individuals.

c. Spam and Deceptive Practices

  • Transmit unsolicited bulk email, SMS spam, or aggressive automated social media comment spam.
  • Cloak destination URLs to deceive security crawlers or disguise fraudulent landing pages.
  • Use arbitrary redirects that redirect visitors to deceptive or deceptive third-party ad networks.

d. Platform and API Abuse

  • Circumvent account limits, free tier allowances, or API rate caps through multiple accounts or automated scripts.
  • Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of our system without prior written authorization from our security team.
  • Resell, lease, or sublicense access to the Service or API without an authorized enterprise agreement.

5. Link Safety, Threat Scanning, and Abuse Enforcement

KuaLat maintains zero tolerance for phishing, malware, and platform abuse.

a. Automated Threat Scanning

Every link submitted to KuaLat may be scanned at creation time and evaluated periodically using automated threat detection engines, including Google Web Risk, PhishTank, and VirusTotal. Links flagged as malicious or hazardous are blocked immediately.

b. Abuse Desk and Reporting

Anyone can report suspected malicious short links through our dedicated abuse desk at https://kua.lat/report or by emailing [email protected].

c. Enforcement and Takedowns

When an abuse report is verified or an automated scan detects harmful content, KuaLat reserves the right to:

  • Instantly disable the short link with an HTTP 410 Gone security gate, preventing further visitor routing.
  • Blacklist the offending destination URL and domain across the entire platform.
  • Suspend or permanently terminate the responsible user account without prior notice.
  • Preserve technical logs and disclose details to law enforcement authorities or security researchers when required.

6. User Content and Intellectual Property

a. Your Content

You retain full ownership of all links, bio page text, images, logos, files, and other data you submit to KuaLat ("User Content"). You are solely responsible for ensuring you have all necessary rights, licenses, and permissions to use and share your User Content.

b. License to KuaLat

By submitting User Content to the Service, you grant KuaLat a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, cache, reproduce, route, and display that content solely to the extent necessary to provide, maintain, and protect the Service.

c. KuaLat Intellectual Property

All rights, title, and interest in and to the Service, including software, code, user interface designs, logos, graphics, trademarks, documentation, and algorithms, remain the exclusive property of KuaLat and its licensors. You may not copy, reverse engineer, decompile, or create derivative works from our software without prior written consent.

7. Developer API Terms

If you access our developer API or build integrations using KuaLat API tokens:

  • You must comply with published rate limits corresponding to your plan tier (specified in Developer Documentation).
  • You must keep API keys and OAuth client credentials strictly confidential.
  • You must not build applications that replicate the primary functionality of KuaLat with the intent of cannibalizing our core platform.
  • We reserve the right to modify API endpoints, deprecate legacy versions with reasonable notice, or throttle accounts that generate abusive traffic patterns.

8. Subscriptions, Billing, and Renewals

a. Subscription Plans

We offer free accounts and paid subscription tiers (Lite, Creator, Pro, Business, Scale, Enterprise) billed on monthly, annual, or lifetime terms. Feature quotas, custom domain limits, and team seats are defined on our Pricing Page.

b. Billing and Automatic Renewal

  • Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring cycle (monthly or yearly) using your designated payment method.
  • Your subscription will renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel it before the renewal date through your account dashboard.
  • All payments are processed through third-party gateways (such as Stripe, PayPal, or Midtrans). KuaLat does not store complete credit card numbers.

c. Upgrades and Downgrades

  • You may upgrade your plan at any time. Prorated charges will be calculated and applied toward your new plan.
  • If you downgrade your plan, the change takes effect at the end of your current paid billing cycle. Ensure your link volume, domain count, and team members align with the lower tier limits before downgrading.

d. Refund Policy

Refund requests are governed by our Refund Policy. First-time subscribers may be eligible for a refund within 7 calendar days of initial purchase, subject to fair usage criteria. Accounts terminated for terms violations or malicious abuse are strictly ineligible for refunds.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, KuaLat explicitly disclaims all warranties, including:

We do not control and are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or availability of third-party websites linked through our platform.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

  • In no event will KuaLat, its directors, employees, partners, suppliers, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, including loss of profits, goodwill, data, business interruption, or other intangible losses arising from your access to or inability to use the Service.
  • KuaLat's total aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service will not exceed the total amount paid by you to KuaLat during the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or USD 100 (or equivalent in local currency), whichever is greater.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or liabilities. In such jurisdictions, our liability will be limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.

11. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless KuaLat, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with:

12. Suspension and Termination

a. Termination by You

You may terminate your account at any time by navigating to your account settings and selecting the account deletion option, or by contacting our support team.

b. Termination by KuaLat

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and revoke your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, if:

  • You violate any provision of these Terms or our Acceptable Use Policy.
  • Your account is associated with malware, phishing, fraudulent activities, or cyber threats.
  • Required to do so by court order, law enforcement request, or regulatory directive.
  • Continued operation poses an operational or legal risk to KuaLat or our users.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. All shortened links associated with a terminated abusive account will be disabled permanently.

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Indonesia, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the breach, termination, or invalidity thereof shall first be submitted to good-faith informal negotiation between the parties. If the dispute cannot be resolved informally within thirty (30) days, it shall be resolved by the competent courts located in Indonesia, unless applicable mandatory consumer protection laws require submission to another jurisdiction.

14. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. When material changes are made, we will notify you by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document, sending an email notice, or displaying a prominent notice on our website.
